Bonfire Make Up Look

Hello everyone! Today (as it’s bonfire night here in the UK) I thought I would put up a little post showing you how I’ve done my makeup for tonight. Keep reading to see how I got the look!

For a fireworks look I really thought that it should be centred on the eyes, so I’m really focusing on these today and doing them first before the rest of my make up. As I’m going to be outside at the fireworks, I want to really make sure that my eye makeup (and whole makeup really) stays put. That being said, the first thing that I’m doing is priming my eyes using a primer from The Balm, Put a lid on it. Then I’m taking the Almost There shade from my Makeup revolution palette and blending it into the crease in my eye as a transition shade. After, I’m going in with a slightly darker brown shade, Smudge also from Makeup Revolution, just to give a little bit more definition.

On my actual lid I’m going to use a flat brush to really press on this lovely gold shade that is in my Coastal Scents Revealed Palette. This is my favourite gold to wear, I feel like it’s the perfect colour to really make my eyes pop. In the outer corner of my eyes I’m going to give another little pop of colour and use this gorgeous orangey bronze shade from my makeup revolution palette in the colour Medal. After a lot of blending and reapplying, my eye shadow is finally done!!

For eyeliner I’m just using my go to at the minute – the Seventeen High drama intensity black liquid liner. I am so in love with this, I wear it nearly every day. The little tip at the end means that you can literally create any look with it, whether you’re wanting a big chunky winged liner or a simple feline flick, it literally works so well.

With mascara I’m just using my Estee Lauder Sample Size mascara. I have been really into this mascara recently, I just feel like it lifts my lashes and curls them, but without being too clumpy or smudging onto my eyelids. So after all that, my eyes are done (yay!)

Once my eyes are done I’m going in with my Estée lauder double wear foundation, my ultimate foundation for long lasting wear. I sometimes feel like this foundation washes me out a little bit because it is so full – so I’m just adding a tiny bit of Nars sheer glow, to add a bit of colour back into my face. To blend this I’m just using a soft face brush by a company called Opulent Beauty (I think; I bought two brush sets from TK Maxx ages ago). For concealer I’m just using my ultimate favourite that is never far from my make up bag – the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer.

For contour, I’m using my Hoola Bronzer (again – everyone must be so bored of me using this all the time), but for a bit more warmth I’m going in on top of the contour with the bronzer from my Makeup Revolution palette in Golden Sugar to warm the face up a bit.

For a blush/highlight, I’m again using my makeup revolution palette in golden sugar, but I’m using this stunning marbled golden brown shade, to give a nice subtle glow to the apples of my cheeks.

On the lips I’m keeping it really simple, just lining my lips with my Rimmel Lasting Lip pencil in the colour Spice, and going on top with the MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer in the colour Tranquility.

So there’s how I will be doing my make up for bonfire night – I hope you enjoyed reading!

  1. I really like that look. I really love the lips (even though they aren´t the focus). I wanted to try the MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers for a while now and I guess I´ve found the color I want to try first.

  2. Love this look, how do you like Makeup Revolution palette, I was considering getting it, but I purchased another blush palette from them before and just felt like the colours were rich at all. I felt like I had to pack it on to get any colour.

    1. Aww thank you, mm as these colours are so shimmery I don't really need to pack on the colour too much because otherwise I look like a glitter ball haha - I can imagine that you might need to with other ones though! Which one do you have??x
